Born in 1995, in Goiás, Brazil. Daniel is a son of Brazil, raised in Portugal, and a true product of a third, globalised, modern and vibrant culture. From childhood, he has drawn his friends and family. His artistic universe is built on closeness, with the pencil as his connection.
The web imagination and meme culture shaped his growth as an artist, as he seeks beauty in the bizarre, peculiar and unsettling.
He holds a degree in Drawing from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Lisbon (2018). He participated in the group exhibitions GABA (2017, 2018 and 2019), 12×12 at Galeria Arte Graça (2016 and 2018), Desenho(s) em Construção at the Gallery of the Parish Council of Santa Maria Maior, Lisbon (2019), and A Ilustração na Obra de Irene Lisboa, in Arruda dos Vinhos (2019). He also presented a solo exhibition within the Symposium da Loucura cycle at the Portuguese Medical Association (2022).
His technique involves drawing and painting, both in traditional and digital formats. Daniel has been a Manicómio artist since 2021.
