JOS is creativity and urbanity. He works in painting, drawing and urban art.
Biography
JOS was born in 1982, in Mexico City, Mexico. JOS is the pseudonym of Mexican artist and chef Jose Fernando Rodriguez Garrido. His world revolves around painting, drawing, travelling and street photography. He has taken part in group exhibitions at the Museum of Antique Toys, Mexico City (2011), the Urban Art Festival of Setúbal (2012), the Latin American Art Festival of Newcastle, United Kingdom (2014), GivLowe Gallery, Lisbon (2016), and Poster Mostra Lisbon (2019). He has had two solo exhibitions: at La Petite Mort Gallery in Ottawa, Canada (2009), and at Project Despacio in Lisbon (2020). He lives between Lisbon and Toulouse and has been represented by Manicómio since 2019.
